TSUNAMI WARNING/ADVISORY ISSUED. 22:22 JST 18 Jun 2019 Yamagata-ken Oki Magnitude: M6.8 Depth: 10km Peak Intensity: 6+
The Japan Meteorological Agency has lifted the tsunami advisories that were issued for coastal areas of Yamagata, Niigata and Ishikawa prefectures. The advisories were issued after a strong quake struck off the coast of Yamagata Prefecture on Tuesday night.
Magnitude-6.8 earthquake has hit off the coast of Yamagata Prefecture in northern Japan. Tsunami advisories are in place along coastal areas of Yamagata, Niigata and Ishikawa prefectures.
Under #Tsunami alert Move inland and uphill quickly, or use a local evacuation route. Do not wait for any official alarm to sound. Get away from ocean. Walk quickly to the nearest high ground, Do not drive, Do not remain close to the beach or in any ocean front buildings
